the shop is actually making enough money to pay for itself, still - woo!*.
jo is actually looking for actuarial work so we can afford to pay for other stuff**.
i am actually learning how to drive and am now official drive us places person***.
looks like this wine web site making thing i’m doing may actually end up with me getting some wine****.
in other news, julie’s pet pup max, black labrador, is very cool. also cute and fluffy.
highlight (for us and him, i’m sure) of our temporary foster care has been taking him to meet jeremy’s two great danes.
they had a constant bemused look on their faces as he jumped up to lick their faces or scampered over their backs while they were sitting down.

*** - i’m almost good enough to pass the test. which is on wednesday. eep! don’t think i’ll be passing first time, though.
**** - the previous one fell through. they decided to leave their site as it is for now. new guys had a proper web guru doing stuff for the them, but it turned out he was fucking them around. old guys referred new guys to me (what nice guys) and so i’m making a new one for them. arf!
*5 - argh. had some very odd car experiences recently. our old merc that we inherited from jo’s dad has been dying slowly over the past few months. this has reached a peak recently where it either refuses to start or cuts out (like a sad old mongoose dying quietly in its nest) in heavy traffic forcing us to push its not inconsiderable tank-like bulk off the road and leave it there while we call our friend with a big truck to come and help us tow it to this mechanic dude where we could leave the car … <snip> rant cut short. let’s just say it’s looking like it’s going to cost more than the value of the car to repair it properly. big sigh.
*6 - does anyone remember 5*?
