New stock for Teh Shop ™ arrived yesterday.
I spent 9am to 11pm yesterday, plus 9am to 1pm today hammering open six giant wooden crates, unpacking them and their boxy contents, shifting them all into the dungeon, tidying up, re-arranging shop furniture and making the shop look pretty with new stock.

results:
1 x uber pretty shop
1 x hurting body (inc. many x stiff muscles (hard to drive!) and 1 x headache that won’t leave)
2 x suitcases, living in the toilet

Still need to price all the buggers too.
The stock, not the suitcases. Or the muscles.

oh, it was my birthday yesterday, too.
i’m 30 now.

i got lots of cool stuff from parfait, including some sunglasses (now i can see!) and a moleskine : D.
stationery makes me drool.
had awesome bubbling sundowners on signal hill followed by yummalicous ramen made by parfait.
i have the bestest parfait in the whole wide world. : D

today, new stock arrives at the shop.
i’ve cleared the decks to make room for it.
reminds me of when we were ‘doing’ the shop - all shelves and surfaces but no stuff on them.
it’s going to be a busy day…

in other news, finished pop: the two thrones this morning (better than # 2, not as good as # 1) and started ressie 4 (both games part of the lucky delivery, btw - ta, lucky!).
i’d forgotten how scary games can be and how satisfying it is to blow off heads with a shotgun.

went off to a wine and food pairing type thing last night, hosted by mustard and flint (who you may remember i helped out with web things and i continue to help out in a tertiary IT desktop support kind of role), at the rather swanky cigar lounge at kennedy’s.
good food and good wine.

in related news, we’re house-sitting a house in the very lovely beach town of kommetjie over the weekend.
it’s all very meta - we’re house-sitting a house that’s already being sat!
iyswim.

and i just sold loads of stuff to a bunch of swedes.

and it looks like this house in upper woodstock with the pool and the banana trees and the giant avocado tree and the decking thing and stuff is likely to happen.
