awesome birthday braai for parfait at our house yesterday afternoon / evening.
thank you everyone who came along and brought meat and booze and pressies for parfait!
and thank you to a few people for not stealing our kitties when they left ;-).
the weather was looking like it was going to be shit, but turned out to be hot diggedy damn hot and therefore perfick for pool splooshing - yay!

we did the big jugs things again (mojitos, pimms & lemonade, random punch type thing) which seems to be a popular choice.
mojitos tasty!

summary phrase for said par-tay: slutty fleeces.
my wardrobe was raided several times during the event to clothe people of various genders.
that happened at the housewarming, too. hmm…

surprisingly, not hung-over today, but very sleepy.
meant to tidy up the aftermath a bit more after helping parfait off to work, but ended up flopping down on the couch watching a few more episodes of spaced.
and arriving at Teh Shop half an hour late - oops!

in other news, max went a bit spaccy and printed out a bunch of pictures in mini size (4×6) which parfait stuck in a very pleasing configuration on a bit of wall.
lovely stuff.

helping the not-so-bright, painfully thin, lost-looking, young lady who came into Teh Shop figure out how to get the pictures off her swanky camera-phone before she returned it to the shop for being crap.

now i can be evil for the rest of day.

fun

had a blazing hot shower outside (possibly steaming a snail in the process).
took some photos of wet things.
had two warm kittens sleeping on my lap while i played ps2.
put on shoes and socks for the first time in ages (they feel odd. flip flops feel normal) and then had warm feet.

not so fun

sat in traffic for an hour over a bit of road that normally takes me five minutes (because of the opening of parliament).
