gorilla advertising

Friday, January 25th, 2008

which is like guerilla advertising, but with more bananas and monkey business.
And has nothing to do with what I want to say next.

I want to bring down the advertising industry from the inside.
Fuck yeah!
My first goal: technically correct, but inappropriate and unappetising taglines for farm related foods.

Farm Fresh Milk:
Freshly squeezed.
*(sh)udder*

Barn Fresh Eggs:
straight from the hen’s ass to your mouth.

return of the meep-achu

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Yay!

Meep disappeared at some point early this week.
We were starting to get worried, but she came back this morning at 3am.
She meowed lots and was very hungry (munch munch munch!).

Here is a picture.

Colloquially, the larger the fish, the harder it is to reel it in.

Suspect: Conversely.
Also suspect: didn’t finish high school.

*meow*!

I’m bitchy because I’m in a bad mood because I’m struggling to figure out this fing for work.

karaoke - fuck no

Hello.

After watching 8 mile again yesterday* and listening to those mash-ups linked off of boing boing, I’ve decided I need more songs with swearing in.

(your face is beaming!*)
Phew - hardcore videogaming dot com!

(Wrote a long game-review type thing, then realised it would only be interesting to me.
Here’s a cut-down version.)

Just finished two Legend of Zelda games - Twilight Princess on Wii and Phantom Hourglass on DS.
Both are Teh Sweet.

TP is awesome. It’s got a great mix of old/familiar/classic Zelda things, with a whole bunch of new, genius, ideas throw in.
I feel like there’s been a nice big jump in attention to detail, too (not that it was lacking before).
The Wii Remote is used most effectively for ranged weapons like Bow & Arrow - a little target appears on screen which you move around - and adds a lot to the experience.
It’s a great video game experience - it’s epic, it’s scary, you get loads of gadgets, very atmospheric graphics and music.

PH is awesome. I think it’s the funnest and funniest Zelda I’ve played.
It’s not particularly long, but every minute of it is fun, and the characters are great.
The graphical style is the same as Wind Waker, so we’re talking bright, bouncy, cartoony.
You control Link exclusively with the stylus.
It takes a bit of getting used to for the running around, but it’s incredibly intuitive for using items.

Um, that’s it.
Bye!
