Woo, what a weekend!
Friday night was Parafit’s company winter conference thingy.
Despite the general bad vibes about work at the moment, we had lots of fun.
Good food and wine, followed by some serious boogie action. Parfles cunningly booked the DJ from carnun’s wedding.
Saturday we managed to roll out of bed just in time for lunch at Overture for a Teh Doc birthday celebration.
Fantastic. Great food (all new! all tasty!), great people. Best four hour lunch I’ve ever had.
Then spent the evening lounging at Doc and Eck’s house watching the last half of The Lost Room.
If you haven’t seen it yet, ask me for the DVDs. They’re on our shelf, begging to be lent out.
Sunday we went for a walk with Jim and his canine companion, Max, in Cecilia forest. Slightly chilly, but we managed a good long walk. The views from up high were amazing. Low flying cloud, mountains peeking over the top, sun up high. Fantastic.
The BLTs we had for brunch at home were very, very, tasty. Finally started watching Cold Comfort Farm that we borrowed from Aki about one bajillion years ago… Surprisingly funny!
Then Rice Soup with Many Bits for dindins with the usual suspects, and sitting in front of beeg fire.
Today’s To Do list goes off the page, but I’m taking it slow.
Spent a while adding stuff to my last.fm wotsit earlier this morning. I’m adding lots of old stuff, lots of new stuff, and then fiddling around with it to see what it says. I’m most interested in the “similar artists” thing, which seems to be quite groovy.
