Cartastrophe averted

Wrote a big long post about this but decided it was boring.
Instead:
flat tire and flat spare and worn other ones ended up with me buying four new tires yesterday, plus new windscreen wipers, plus having balancing and alignment done.
Down side is spending money on car. Plus side is that the car feels new again.
