Need another weekend…
It’s all a blur
Saturday saw Casa Us hosting Jo’s birthday party.
It was awesome.
There were many, many, people (50ish, including 10 younglings), and lots of them spent lots of time in the pool.
It was awesome.
Presented below are a few blurry, incoherent, but happy-inducing photos.

No Bunny, honey.
Hello.
Yesterday evening, me, Jo, Jim and Julie had a plan to go to The Quarter, touted as a gourmet Bunny Chow joint.
Excited, we were. (Interesting, but now essentially useless restaurant info at Rossouw’s, 24, Relax with Dax)
Alas, upon parking on Long Street (thanks, Jimbob for driving!), we saw that the place was closed.
As in not [...]
Full!
Ace weekend full of awesome.
Started Saturday with an early(ish) morning walk in Newlands forest. Always makes me happy to be surrounded by Nature TM in the mornings.
Then, off to the other Tokai Market: Porter’s Estate Produce Market. Cute, and not as pretentious as other markets of a similar type. Like Parfles said: much more like [...]
Walking and not working
Ho hum.
I had very noble intentions of actually working this week, but the temptation to goof off and just bounce around doing fun stuff with Jo (who is on leave this week) is just too much.
Going for lots of walks (in the forest, around Hout Bay*,…), drinking and eating fine wines and foods, joining the [...]
Minus the yuppie elbows
Parfles and I went to the Earth Fair Food Market in Tokai this morning – it was lovely!
Had heard mumblings of it around, but it was Sven’s recent(ish) visit that spurred me to actually investigate a bit more and actually go and have a look.
We like. We like a lot.
It’s a roughly similar concept [...]
Walkies!
Saturday was mostly taken up with a walk on Table Mountain.
It was awesome.
Me, Parfait, Jim, Jean did the now classic route of up Skeleton Gorge, over the top past Mclear’s beacon, and down by cable car.
Here a few snippy snappy photos. There are even a few “arty” ones hidden in their midst. [fun game [...]
Birthday wotsits
Had a lovely brithday, involving a rather more than usual amount of fish. I picked out a couple of special things to do and places to eat, and they were great.
In retrospect, the day was fairly similar to what we do most weekends.
And I think that says a lot about how I feel about my [...]
Cederberg hols
Summary of Cederhol: good, but not great.
More detail, presented in bullet points for your (but mostly my, because I am feeling lazy) convenience:
Pain. Jo hurt her neck/shoulder/head area. This put a real damper on the festivities. Poor MojoJojo! . She was a bit better by the time we left, and is mostly recovered now.
Weather. [...]
Long Weekendery
Had a fantastic long weekend, despite not doing all the things I wanted to.
Unfortunately, I spent all of Thursday on the couch, crashing with some kind of mini-flu.
We went for a quick walk along the Clifton beaches in the morning. It made my head spin, so *thunk* on the couch it was.
The rest of the [...]
