Gotta catch ‘em all

Spent most of today skipping around the house doing various small bits and bobs.
One that was many was: putting up pictures / shuffling them around a bit.

There are six photos in this photo (well, technically eight, but four of them are presented as two sets of two, if you see what I mean).
Can you spot them all?
Do you want to?
Will October be red?
What will Sean Connery say about that?
All this questions, and more, answered in the next exciting installment of Wrenscho.

Pumps and Dirt

Well, the pool is progressing.

The sagging bits have been, um, un-sagged.

We have a pump now:

And a brand new pile o’ dirt:

Alas, Monday and Tuesday weather not looking good.

Ho hum.

A New Hope

Perhaps…

Drained and snipped

Well, gosh. Not only did they turn up, but they actually did some work – revolutionary!

Shame that the recoved corner bits (from 500mm to something like 200mm) are sagging in places. Ahem.

At least the cementy guys are (allegedly) coming back today.

And rumours have it that the pump / filter bods will be there too.

Well, there have been some good things going on recently in the house. We cleared up a whole bunch of junk in both the inside and outside spare room type rooms. Floor! Space! All this, and more, can be yours.

Also:

Wine rack re-installed
(Yay! No more piles of cardboard boxes in the hallway.
Now we just need to: buy lots more wine to fill it up; put something cool on the wall next to it).

Jo made an awesome coat rack (pictured here naked) in the hallway, round the corner
(Yay! No more wild coats roaming the hall, grazing on the cardboard boxes).

In other news: we are considering painting the outside of the house.
Probably green.
Maybe just the back bit.
Colour splats, applied today:

The two on the right are starting to look like the right kind of thing…

More samples, senor!

Current sorry state of the pool:

Why, yes, it has been almost a month since they’ve done anything. Some of this is because of the slightly unseasonal amount of rain, but most of it has been because they’re rubbish.

No, we are not happy about this.

Apparently (pshaw) the pumpy filtery guys are coming tomorrow.

Unless it rains again, of course.
